30多年來，我一直在香港教書，曾在不同的國際學校、香港大學社區學院和香港大學專業進修學院任教。
在英基（ESF）的港島中學任教時，我的教學年級包括中學七年級（中一）到十三年級（中七）。我還積極地參與課外活動輔導如音樂、英語輔助班以及短程或長途的校外訪問團。我也擔任Housemaster的領導職位長達10年，雖然這極具挑戰性，但非常有趣和精彩。接著，我轉入香港耀中國際學校任英文老師，教導IGCSE（英國中學程度會考）以及IB文憑課程。我組織並參加了相當多的課外活動，包括「一對一」英文閱讀支援班、法語興趣班、學校月刊設計出版等。我特別喜歡帶領學生交流團進行富有教育意義的訪問活動，曾前往希臘、捷克、美國及中國內地。
感謝在香港的任教時光，英語作為第二語言的教學經歷已經貫穿了我的整個工作歷程，成為我人生中不可或缺的重要部分。時至今日，我依然享受著我的英文教育之旅，因為與學生的互動及其產生的樂趣是無可替代的。

I have been active in the Hong Kong education scene for over 30 years, having taught in international schools and in the Hong Kong University Community College and HKU Space programmes for adults.
At ESF Island School, my range of teaching covered Year 7 (Form One) to Year 13 (Form Seven), along with participation in extracurricular activities from music and EAL teaching to both shorter and longer-term visits out of school. My role as a Housemaster for 10 years was a challenging but interesting and enjoyable experience. A new posting to Yew Chung International School in Hong Kong provided me with a chance to teach English in an intensive programme at IGCSE (First and Second Language) and IB Diploma level.
Extracurricular activities included organising a "one to one" reading programme, French Club, overseeing a monthly school newsletter as well as educational day visits within Hong Kong, e.g. to the Hong Kong History Museum, overseas trips to Europe (the Czech Republic and Greece), America (Florida) and to China (Huangshan).
Throughout the whole period, teaching English as an additional language has been an integral part of my work, thanks to the language branches of the three educational institutions mentioned – Island School, YCIS and HKU Space. I am still enjoying this educational journey due to the interaction, stimulation and interest it affords.
