我生於美麗的海濱城市——大連。在讀書的時候,老師的說得每一句話、寫的每一個字都在影響著我。受到老師的影響,我對教師這一職業充滿了嚮往。後來意識到,老師的一言一行就相當於一個標準。在本科四年期間,我學習了廣泛的數學專業知識並接受了專業的教師技能訓練,同時修讀了人力資源管理專業的主幹課程。畢業後被授予理學和管理學雙學士學位。

之後,我來到香港科技大學數學系攻讀碩士。數學系的標語「Mathematics doesn't lie」讓我印象深刻。在科大期間,我除了學習之外,也細心觀察教授們的數學表達。原來,沉浸於數學世界是一種享受,科大讓我對數學這一學科有了更加深刻的理解,也開闊了我的視野。畢業後,我加入了漢鼎書院,效力於STEM部。

在我的實際教學中,我意識到數學教師的主要職責並不是「教數學知識」,而是「教數學」。課堂上,我傾向于訓練學生思考問題的方式,並要求學生瞭解知識的根源及其發展過程,同時會借助應用實例讓學生形成應用意識。其實,數學本身就是一個周密、嚴謹並講邏輯的學科,所以我會十分嚴格地要求學生對待每一堂課、每一次作業、每一個數學活動和階段性測試。此外,我也關注學生的數學表達,其基本要求是準確和簡潔,曾多次參與統一考試閱卷工作的我更是有所體會其重要性。在教師的教學和學生的學習之後,評估的重要性不言而喻,一個科學的評價系統可以為學生、家長和教師提供重要的信息。這一方面,我一向重視學生學習的過程,同時堅持「用數據說話」,使用多元的評價方法評估出學生的真實水平。

為進一步豐富知識,我又在香港大學攻讀教育學碩士,相信我會將所學應用到漢鼎的數學課程和教學之中。

Feng Qiankun

I was born in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city. In school, every word the teacher said and wrote deeply influenced me. Therefore, I was full of yearning for the career of teacher and realized that a teacher's words and deeds were equivalent to standards. During the four years of my undergraduate study, I have learned a wide range of mathematical knowledge and received professional teaching skills' training. At the same time, I took the main courses of another major Human Resources Management. When graduated, I was awarded a double bachelor's degree in Science and Management.

Later, I came to HKUST for a master's degree in Mathematics. I was impressed by the department's slogan "Mathematics doesn't lie". During my time at HKUST, apart from studying, I also carefully observed the professors' mathematical expressions. For them, immersing in the mathematics world is a kind of enjoyment. Postgraduate study not only gave me a deeper understanding of mathematics, but also broadened my horizon. After graduation, I joined Han Academy and worked in the STEM Faculty.

In my practical teaching, I realize that the main responsibility of mathematics teachers isn’t to "teach mathematical knowledge", but to "teach mathematics". In class, I tend to train students' logical thinking and require them to understand the origin and development process of knowledge. At the same time, I would like to use practical examples to help students form application awareness. In fact, the mathematics itself is a rigorous and logical subject, so I strictly required students to treat every class, every assignment, every mathematical activity and periodic test seriously. In addition, I have participated in the work of marking papers in the unified examination many times, from which I realize how important the accuracy and conciseness of students' mathematical expression are. For teachers' teaching and students' learning, the significance of assessment is self-evident. A scientific evaluation system can provide important information for students, parents and teachers. In this aspect, I always attach great importance to the process of students' learning. With the principle of "speaking with data", I try to use multiple evaluation methods to assess the true study level of students.

In order to enrich my knowledge, I am going to study in HKU for another master's degree in Education. I believe that I will apply what I have learned to the mathematics teaching in Han Academy.
